Bill Ward

Looking on the internet, I came across a pin up postcard illustrator Bill Ward. Born in 1919 he created some very racy postecards. The girls featured are completely out of proportion but are incredible sexy. BABES! supporting stockings and suspenders. rxxx

The Lake and Stars

Whilst reading through Contemporary Lingerie Design I came across the brand The Lake and Stars and it has become one of my favourite brands. Founded in 2007 by Nikki Dekker and Mayaan Zilberman. It is just beautiful. rxx

Woman dressed as Man dressed as Woman.

I adore Rihanna's costume in the "Who's That Chick" video. I think this may too be an inspiration for the costume.

Yes, it's going to be fantastic... hopefully.

My 22nd birthday looms, only 13 days away.
On a positive side I was in Glasgow town centre today, wee trip to mandors and have got some lovely fabric to create a fabulous Pricilla Queen of the Desert inspired costume. Lots of colour, latex and sequins. Beautifully tacky. I am going to be trashy as I venture forth into adulthood.

The colour in this picture is fantastic, I thoroughly enjoy this musical. wee trip to london is definately on the cards.

Here is hoping I get my coursework done in time to finnish the costume. rxx

Angus Macphee

Angus Macphee was born on the 8th July 1927 and died last month February 13th 2011.

An art teacher at the Glasgow school of art, a talented man he spoke Gaelic at home, english and played the pipes. Born in Glasgow and living in Skye he had the best of both worlds. There was a television programme in which he was featured, as a teenager he found the body of a German U-boat sailer. He made it his mission to find the relatives of this sailor so that they would know what happened to him. He was a great man.

Not only was this man a great artist and gaelic speaker he too was a friend of the family. This is the reason that i fell heir to the name Rhona. Now for years i have spoken of how I have been named after a girl with leukemia well this is in fact true. Angus Macphee had three daughter who used to play with my mum, unfortunately one of his daughters died at the age of four.
Angus MacPhee dedicated his Crunluath Collection to his daughter Rona.

I love this video, i know bit slow in the times seeing as it was out last year, but I found it again today. The underwear is Dolce and Gabanna and is incredibly pretty. Beyonce is so adorable. I hope that as I become older and can afford fantastic underwear I will look this good. hmmm glamorous.

Thoroughly Modern Emily

it was so good. even though snow was forecasted the sun was shining and it wasn't that cold.
At ridiculous o'clock in the morning, Emily Gunning and I arrived and set up. Poor girl, the amount I put her through, (it is amazing how a great mac and cheese can act as a bargaining tool) Emily has beautiful long blonde hair which took a very long time to put up. But it looked great and the different layer caught the light. Six buses, Five outfits, hundreds of beads, a tin of hair spray, Thirty-seven kirby grips, Six cheese and pickle sandwiches and Twelve cups of tea makes a good day.

Have a wee peak at the results of the day, hope you like it. Need to photoshop the final ones so will put them up soon! rxx
